Noticed this new loco at the Worcester, Ma yard of the MBTA after this trainset had finished its day's work. Is this the future of AMTRAK power. It was made in Iowa, as one can read from the side of the train.
Note the exhaust that has marred the paint on the front of the train right above the windows. This train travels in both directions, so on the inbound runs to Boston, the engine is in the rear. The smoke does not rise high enough and it has smeared the paint. Is this a design flaw?
